FAQs
-
Where are you located?
My physical location is in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is where I offer in-person visits upon request. Virtually, I am licensed to practice in Florida and Virginia.
-
What is your rate?
Telehealth | 50 minutes | $175
I also offer extended sessions as needed, which are prorated based on the above rate
-
How frequently will we meet?
Typically, we will start by meeting once a week and then taper off over the course of time to biweekly then maybe even monthly. It all depends on your level of comfort and what you feel you need. Twice a week can be accommodated depending on therapist availability.
-
What happens after the consultation call?
If at the end of the call, you feel that I will be a good fit for you, we will schedule our first session. Between then and your first session, I will send you intake paperwork to fill out so that you will not have to use your therapy hour filling out paperwork. This will all be done through a secure HIPAA compliant client login portal. If we are meeting virtually, you will automatically receive an email 24 hours prior to our session with the video link you will need for our appointment.
-
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance, but I can provide you with a bill that you can give to your insurance for reimbursement.
I do not accept insurance because insurance companies operate on a “Medical Model”, which means they require you to be diagnosed, even if there may not be a diagnosis that really fits what you’re going through, such as relationship issues, life transitions, existential issues, developmental/attachment trauma, personal development and self-improvement, just to name a few.

In order to determine what your benefits are:
1.Call the customer service number on the back of your insurance card (for Mental Health).
2. Tell them you will be seeing a licensed marriage and family therapist who is an out-of-network provider.
3.Ask what the reimbursement rate is for a therapy visit with CPT code 90837.
4.Ask if you must meet an annual deductible before your benefits go into effect.
5.Ask if there is an annual or lifetime limit on what you will pay.
6.Ask if there is a maximum number of visits allowed per year.
7.Record the name of the person you spoke with and the date of your telephone call.
